After traveling around the country, I settled in the Sacramento area and now live in Citrus Heights, California. As I now use a wheel chair to conserve energy, I have become a community activist doing things I never expected to do, like testifying before City councils and planning commissions, writing articles for newspapers, having things appear in magazines, advocating for service dogs and learning how to train service dogs. My companion at the reunion was Dusty, a Standard Poodle service dog.
