Graduated from San Jose State College in 1963 with a degree in Sociology and Psychology. Performed postgraduate work in Sociology from San Jose State in 1964. Joined Chi Omega Sorority at San Jose State in 1962. Still belong to the Alumni Association of Chi Omega.
Won the "Miss San Jose" title for the Miss America Pageant in 1963. Came in as a runner up for "Miss California." Worked for several years as a Big Sister for the Miss America Contest.
Modeled for 55 years from the age of 8 to 63. Helped me pay for various expenses, lots of work and fun, some travel.
Married Oliver Arthur (Skip) Fisk III in 1964, Graduate in Business Administration from Stanford University in 1963. As men had military duty at that time, Skip and I were at McCord Air Force Base in Tacoma, Washington in 1964. I played a lot of golf. In 1965, we were stationed at Stewart Air Force Base in Newburgh, New York. I wrote a column for the Air Force Magazine called, "For A Lovelier You." Played a lot of golf at West Point Moved to Cincinnati after the Air Force where Skip worked for Procter and Gamble in Marketing Management and I was the Personnel Director for the Kroger Company. Our daughter, Victoria Kay Fisk (now Kopitske) was born in 1968. Came back to California in 1970. Divorced in 1973. Skip passed away in 2007.
Married John Leong in 1976. I started my Electrolysis Business in 1978. Added another license with an Esthetician Degree in 1998 in order to perform Micro-Dermabrasion in my office in San Mateo. Credentials: Degree from Bay Area College of Electrolysis in 1978. Member of the American Electrology Association since 1979 and the Electrologists Association of California since 1978. I was President of the Electrologists Association of California 2006-2008.
Over the years I have belonged to various organizations such as The Lighthouse for the Blind (Past President several times), National Kidney Foundation, Filoli, Eastern Star, Garden Club of San Carlos, and the Chi Omega Alumni Association.
What am I doing now? Still working full time as an Electrologist and an Esthetician. I love to visit my 3 grandchildren (twins Nick and Jake-8 years old and Mike-5 years old). Daughter Vicky and her husband Andy live in Gold River, CA by Sacramento. I am still active with Filoli, Chi Omega, Eastern Star and have season tickets to Broadway by the Bay. Besides reading a good book I love the occasional game of golf and go to San Francisco for the Ballet and Opera. I also write Children's Stories for my pleasure. Might get those published one day.
